Join Lux Mea This Season

Do you love choral music and have some singing experience? We'd love to welcome you to Lux Mea this September!

Our community includes singers ranging from enthusiastic beginners to professional musicians. If you enjoy singing and are excited to grow as part of an ensemble, there's a place for you here.

We welcome singers ages 18–65 of all genders who are comfortable singing treble repertoire.

Our Ensembles

Lux Mea consists of two ensembles:

• Lux Mea – for treble voices

• Sonus – for tenor and bass voices

Both ensembles rehearse and perform separately, and come together throughout the season to perform SATB repertoire, giving singers the opportunity to experience both ensemble-specific and large choir performances.

Rehearsals

Thursdays | 7:30–9:30 PM
Near Union Square, New York City

Because choral singing depends on every voice, consistent attendance is essential. Members are expected to attend weekly rehearsals and should plan to miss no more than two rehearsals during the season whenever possible.

Membership Fee

The membership fee is $150 per season. This helps cover the cost of sheet music, our collaborative pianist, and concert venue expenses.

We believe finances should never be a barrier to making music together. If the membership fee presents a hardship, please contact info@luxmea.org to inquire about confidential financial assistance.
