Lux Mea Choir Auditions

Here's what to expect during your audition:

• This audition is for Kaitlin to hear what voice part would be best for you. We know the word "audition" is a little scary if you haven't done it in a long time. We promise that this will be painless! 
• We will sing a simple vocal exercise to see how high and low you can sing.
• Next, you will read music at a level of your choice ranging from very easy to difficult. 
• It should take about 15 minutes.

Do you have a treble voice and some singing experience? We would love to have you join us for our next season starting in January 2022. Our members range from beginner to professional musicians and there is a place for everyone. We accept singers ages 18-65 of all genders as long as you can comfortably sing treble repertoire.

Covid: All singers must be vaccinated. We will rehearse masked, in a very large room. Masks are optional at rehearsals. If there comes a time when we all need to wear masks, we can make that adjustment.

Attendance: As part of an ensemble, we really need to rehearse all together as much as possible. We ask that you commit to attend Thursdays, from 7:30-9:30pm near Lincoln Center. Please do not miss more than two rehearsals.

Cost: The cost per singer is $150. This is necessary to pay for music, our accompanist and our concert venue. We do not want this cost to prohibit anyone from participating. Please email info@luxmea.org if you need financial assistance. You can pay here.
