Angels from the Realms of Glory

Henry T. Smart

arr. Dan Forrest

Alice Hargrove, piano

Angels from the realms of glory

Wing your flight o'er all the earth.

Ye who sang creation's story

now proclaim Messiah's birth.

Come and worship,

Worship Christ the newborn King!

Shepherds in the field abiding,

Watching o'er your flocks by night,

God with us is now residing,

Yonder shines the infant light.

Come and worship,

Worship Christ the newborn King!

Sages, leave your contemplation,

Brighter visions beam afar.

Seek the great Desire of Nations,

Ye have seen His natal star.

Come and worship,

Worship Christ the newborn King!

All creation join in praising

God, the Father, Spirit, Son.

Evermore your voices raising

To the eternal Three in One!

Come and worship,

Worship Christ the newborn King!

See amid the Winter's Snow

John Goss

arr. Dan Forrest

See amid the winter's snow,

Born for us on earth below,

See the tender Lamb appears,

promised from eternal years.

Hail, thou ever blessed morn,

Hail redemption's happy dawn,

Sing through all Jerusalem:

"Christ is born in Bethlehem,"

Lo, within a manger lies

He who built the lofty skies,n

He, who, throned in light sublime,

sits amid the cherubim,

Sacred infant, all divine,

what a tender love was Thine,

Thus to come from highest bliss,

down to such a world as this.

Alleluia.

Ave maris stella

Josef Rheinberger

Ave, maris stella,

Dei mater alma,

Atque semper virgo,

Felix coeli porta.

Sumens illud Ave

Gabrielis ore,

funda nos in pace,

mutans nomen Evae..

Solve vincla reis,

Profer lumen caecis,

Monstra te esse matrem:

sumat per te preces,

qui pro nobis natus,

tulit esse tuus.

Virgo singularis,

inter omnes mitis,

nos culpis solutos,

mites fac et castos.

Vitam praesta puram,

Iter para tutum,

Ut, videntes Jesum,

Semper collaetemur.

Sit laus Deo Patri,

Summo Christo decus,

Spiritui sancto;

Tribus honor unus.

Hail, Star of the Sea,

Loving Mother of God,

And Virgin immortal,

Heaven's blissful portal!

Receiving that "Ave"

From the mouth of Gabriel,

Reversing the name of "Eva,"

Establish us in peace.

Break the chains of sinners,

Bring light to the blind,

Drive away our evils,

And ask for all good things.

Show thyself to be a mother,

That, through thee,

He may accept our prayers,

He who, born for us,

Chose to be your Son.

Oh incomparable Virgin,

Meek above all others,

Make us, freed from our faults,

Meek and chaste.

Keep our life pure,

Make our journey safe,

So that, seeing Jesus,

We may rejoice together forever.

Let there be praise to God the Father,

And glory be to Christ the most High,

And to the Holy Spirit,

And to the Three be one honor. Amen.

Puer Natus in Bethlehem

Josef Rheinberger

Puer natus in Bethlehem

unde gaudet Jerusalem,

hic jacet in praesepio,

qui regnat sine termino.

Reges de Saba veniunt

aurem thus myrham offerunt

Sine serpentis vulnere,

de nostro venit sanguine,

in carne nobis similis,

peccato sed dissimilis

ut reder et nos homines,

Deo et sibi similes.

In hoc natali gaudio,

benedicamus Domino,

laudetur sancta trinitas,

Deo dicamus gratias.

A child is born in Bethlehem,
Exult for joy, Jerusalem!

Lo he who reigns above the skies,
There in a manger lowly, lies.

And enter with their offerings,
To hail the newborn King of Kings.

Our feeble flesh and His the same,
Our sinless kinsman He became,

That we, from deadly thrall set free,
Like Him, and so like God, should be.

Come then, and on his natal day,
Rejoice before the Lord and pray.

On this joyful day of birth,

Bless the Lord.

And to the holy One in Three.
Give praise and thanks eternally.

O magnum mysterium

Evan Ramos

O magnum mysterium,

Et admirabile sacramentum,

Ut animalia viderunt

Dominum natum

jaccentem in praesepio.

O magnum mysterium

O great mystery,

And wonderful sacrament,

That animals should see

the newborn Lord

Lying in a manger.

O great mystery.

The Holly and the Ivy

arr. Dan Meinhardt

Marisa f. Ballaro, choreography

Audience Sing Along

Oh, come, all ye faithful,

Joyful and triumphant!

Oh, come ye, oh come ye

to Bethlehem.

Come and behold him,

Born the King of angels;

Oh, come, let us adore him;

Oh, come, let us adore him;

Oh, come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,

just like the ones I used to know,

where the treetops glisten and children listen

to hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

with every Christmas card I write:

"May your days be merry and bright

and may all your Christmases be white."

I don't want a lot for Christmas,

there is just one thing I need.

I don't care about the presents

underneath the Christmas tree.

I just want you for my own,

more than you could ever know.

Make my wish come true:

all I want for Christmas is you.

I don't want a lot for Christmas,

there is just one thing I need.

And I don't care about the presents

underneath the Christmas tree.

I don't need to hang my stocking

there upon the fireplace.

Santa Claus won't make me happy

with a toy on Christmas Day.

I just want you for my own,

more than you could ever know.

Make my wish come true:

Baby, all I want for Christmas is you.

Yooouuuu baby,

I won't ask for much this Christmas,

I won't even wish for snow.

And I'm just gonna keep on waiting

underneath the mistletoe.

I don't want a lot for Christmas,

this is all I'm asking for.

I just want to see my baby

standing right outside my door.

I just want him for my own,

more than you could ever know.

Make my wish come true:

All I want for Christmas is you. Ooo, baby.

All I want for Christmas is you, baby.

All I want for Christmas is you, baby.

I'll be Home for Christmas

arr. Michele Weir

I'll be home for Christmas.

You can plan on me.

Please have snow and mistletoe

and presents on the tree.

Christmas Eve will find me

where the love-light gleams.

I'll be home for Christmas,

if only in my dreams.

S'Vivon

Traditional Hebrew

arr. Betty Bertaux

S'vivon sov, sov, sov,

Hanukka hu hag tov,

Hag sim ha hu laam

Nes gadol ha ya sham!

Little dreydl, spin, spin, spin,

Hanukka is a festive time.

A joyous holiday for everyone,

For a great miracle happened there.

The Sleigh

Richard Kountz

Lightly flying o'er the snow,

With a hey, hah, hah, hah, ho, hah, ho!

With sleighbells ringing, Gaily singing,

Merrily we go!

All the world a blanket white

of snow so cold and crisp and light,

With sharp winds blowing,

We are going Onward through the night,

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

arr. Jacob Narverud

Christmas future is far away,

Christmas past is past.

Christmas present is here today,

bringing joy that will last!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,

let your heart be light.

From now on our troubles

will be out of sight.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,

make the Yuletide gay.

From now on our troubles

will be miles away!

Here we are as in olden days,

happy golden days of your.

Faithful friends who are dear to us

gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together,

if the fates allow.

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough!

And have yourself a merry little Christmas, now.

Ding Dong! Merrily on High

French Carol

arr. Audrey Snyder

Ding dong! Merrily on high,

in heaven bells are ringing:

Ding dong! Verily the sky

is riv'n with angel singing.

Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!

E'en so here below, below,

let steeple bells be swungen,

And ioioio.

by priest and people sungen.

Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!

Pray you, dutifully prime

your matin chime, ye ringers;

May you beautifully rime

your beautifully singing.

Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!

Sparklejollytwinklejingley

from the Broadway musical Elf

arr. Andy Beck

There's a saying we have up north

that helps us put our best foot forth:

"If you want to deck the halls for Mister C.,

make sure they're sparklejollytwinklejingley!"

When a room is gloomy and its atmosphere has called it quits

then you must remember that December is a time for glitz.

Never stop until each limb on your Christmas tree

is sparklejollytwinklejingley!

Pick up every ornament that's sitting, waiting on a shelf.

While you're busy decorating, why not decorate yourself?

Soon you'll bring a smile to every person you see.

I'm sparkletwinklejolly what? Close enough!

And if you're at a loss, remember the phrase that says,

"To thine own elf be true."

For when it comes to Christmas displays,

look inside and you'll know what to do.

Put some cheery folderol on every wall and every nook.

Tinsel up each corner till it's Christmas everywhere you look.

Give the world a holiday that's bright as can be.

Make it sparklejollytwinklejingley!

Night of Silence

Daniel Kantor

Cold are the people, Winter of life,

We tremble in shadows the cold endless night,

Frozen in the snow lie roses sleeping,

Flowers that will echo the sunrise,

Fire of hope is our only warmth,

Weary, its flame will be dying soon.

Voice in the distance, Call in the night,

On wind you enfold us You speak of the light,

Gentle on the ear you whisper softly,

Rumors of a dawn so embracing,

Breathless love awaits darkened souls,

Soon will we know of the morning.

Spirit among us, Shine like the star,

Your light that guides shepherds and kings from afar,

Shimmer in the sky so empty, lonely,

Rising in the warmth of the Son's love,

Star unknowing of night and day,

Spirit we wait for the loving Son.
